A Condom from 120 years ago is found!

The contraceptive device sold by Morishita Jintan (Osaka City) in the Meiji era was found in an old private house in Ishikawa prefecture for the first time in about 120 years.

According to Kyodo, It was used as a preventive device for the sexually transmitted disease “syphilis” that was rampant at that time, but due to the postwar turmoil, only newspaper advertisements at that time were left.

Morishita Jintan is considering exhibiting at the head office as a valuable asset that conveys the history of the company.
