Japanese to the World

Super Nintendo World is officially open!!

On the 18th of March, Universal Studios Japan (USJ, Osaka City) opened a new area called “Super Nintendo World”, starring Nintendo’s popular game “Super Mario”.

Expectations for attracting customers are high, because it is such a popular video game series, but a cautious start is necessary for taking measures against COVID-19, according to atnavi.

At Super Nintendo World, you can experience the game in real life!

First, when you pass through a huge green pipe, you can see the familiar scenery of “Mushroom Kingdom”.

Characters such as “Toad” and “Koopa Troopa” are moving around like in the game.

Attractions include “Mario Kart,” where it reproduces the racing game with AR (Augmented Reality) technology and special effects that is combined with the actual set and video.

Wearing a headset with a screen at the landing gives you the feeling that the moving characters are in front of you. The development manager puts all his strength into saying, “Guests don’t just play, they jump in with their whole body.”

I can’t wait to go there myself!

But I bet it is very crowded now, as it just opened and it’s the first weekend since the opening!
