Japanese to the World

Man digs a hole for 1 year, and creates his own movie theater!

Ryosuke Gion (@twelveO2twelve), a representative of the jeans brand “Rockwell Japan”, has completed a daunting challenge.

He dug a hole in his yard for 1 year, and decorated it like a miner’s hut.

He brought a projector down and created his own movie theater.

The reason for the project was to try to discolor the jeans of the product while the main business was suspended due to lockdown for COVID-19 infection prevention measures.

Jeans were originally made for gold mining, so he thought that wearing them and digging holes would create the ideal discoloration.

Comments:

・I don’t understand from the photo, someone please explain.

・I think the place where the man is standing is the stairs, and behind the red curtain is the underground hut.

・Wow!! Digging a hole is cool, but the decoration of the hut is amazing.

・I bet his favorite movie is The Shawshank Redemption

・It looks like an exciting date spot

・I wonder how the discoloration of jeans went? I wish it was published as a photo or video
