Cup noodles (Instant noodles) renews its cap

Cup noodles are instant ramen noodles sold in a cup released by Nissin Foods from September 18, 1971.
They are also referred to as instant noodles, cup ramen, instant ramens.

The official Twitter account of Nisshin Cup Noodle announced on June 4th that it will abolish the “cover seal”.
Instead, they have increased the number of lid openings to two so that the lid can be securely closed after adding hot water.

This is part of Nissin’s environmental strategy. On the 50th anniversary from the launch of Cup Noodles, the lid stopper seal is approximated to abolish and 33 tons of plastic will be reduced annually.

The official Twitter account for Cup Noodle tweeted “Goodbye, all lid stickers” on the 3rd of June, 2021.
There was a lot of discussion on the internet, such as “How should I close the lid from tomorrow?”

Comments:

・If the purpose was to reduce plastic, they could have used a paper sticker …

・I don’t care as long as they don’t change the taste!

・MMM, I’m hungry now
