300 electric cars suddenly explode and burn in China

Around 3:30 am on June 23, a large number of electric bicycles were charged in a parking lot in the center of the community outside the West Three Ring Road in Chengdu, Sichuan Province.
One of the electric bicycles suddenly ignited, and guards and residents hurriedly tried to extinguish the fire, but failed.



The fire spread rapidly, and about 200 to 300 electric cars burned together, forming a huge fire scene.
While burning, they continued to make a cracking sound, specific to batteries.



Residents called fire men, and the fire brigade arrived after hearing the news, but the fire was too strong.
In just 30 minutes, all the electric cars in the carport were completely burned out, leaving only iron shelves and piles of ash all over the floor. The outer wall of the building closest to the parking lot was also black.
