Japanese to the World

“Flying cars” will become purchasable by 2030

What kind of flying cars are being developed now? This is a photo of a flying car that succeeded in manned flight for the first time in Japan in August 2020. It is certainly flying with people on board.
Right now, it’s about a few meters high, but the aircraft doesn’t have a steering wheel, so it automatically flies to its destination.

According to FNN online, although it is an image, in the near future it will be possible to fly at an altitude of 500 meters and a speed of 60 km / h.

For this flying car, the government will review the process for practical use within this year and make it more concrete.
As for the contents, around 2023, it will be used for transporting luggage to remote island areas, and it will be possible to make tourist flights to sightseeing spots.
Around 2025, it will become more familiar and realistic with transportation of luggage in mountainous areas and then passenger transportation.
And around the 2030s, automatic, unmanned flight, and private flying cars will take off.
